It's a depiction of the modern world and how we are slaved to it by our own ignorance and apathy, making us passive participants in this "matrix". It also represents my personal struggle for freedom, for self-expression and for identity. The painting is a visual representation of the struggle between light and dark, good and evil. It's about the battle between an individual's will versus the will of society. the man is a fugitive who managed to escape the "debt he had to pay" for the world.
